What's in my bag; work edition!

Throughout the week I work overnight at a call center and there's a lot of down time so I have to bring things to keep myself occupied. I'm not a huge fan of watching TV or anything on my phone because I don't carry my charger around and I just feel really uncomfortable with such a small screen. 

My necessities are definitely my pencils and sketchbook.  I usually bring an issue of KERA or FRUiTs with me if I'm lacking inspiration, currently I'm all about these issues of 原宿女子～原J I picked up while in San Francisco! If magazines don't do it for me, then I just browse tumblr for a little bit.

I've never been too much of a tote bag person but I need to accept that there are times when my tiny handbangs won't do haha.

I always carry a bunch of lipsticks with me because even though I've already decided what I want to wear for the day, who knows if I'm going to change my mind later?

If it wasn't apparent, I really love chocolate theme things. I like to keep my pencils and all my pens/sharpies separate. Not pictured here is also a small box of Prismacolor pencils that was gifted to me!

Last but not least, a cute compact!

What I wore today 2-26-14

I'm really glad I bought this scarf. Its really thin so I don't get too hot wearing it compared to my knitted ones, and its also really long!

What I wore today (flashback) 1-24-14/Ebay rhinestone tights

I really don't care for cold weather too much. My wardrobe is full of skirts, dresses and 20 denier tights. We don't get much of a winter here in Texas, but when it gets cold I bundle up. When I'm cold my whole body tenses up and I'm constantly clenching my teeth and everything is just tight, haha!

I bought these rhinestone tights off of ebay for a lolita coord. I bought them in dark blue and black, one with (probably) 20 denier and then... whatever this one is. I really like the opaque ones, I can tug and pull on 'em and I haven't had a rip yet! I don't have any "good" pictures wearing the thinner tights but the second I tried on the black pair, I got a rip in them from pulling them up! The fact that these rhinestones are on them doesn't help with that either.

I successfully wore the thin dark blue pair but I had to be very very careful when putting them on and taking them off!

I didn't really do much that day. I woke up sort of late (~1pm) and lazed around. I had kind of planned to go to the children's museum with my friend Lizzie but it didn't work out because I'm a lazy teen slob. I made plans to hang out with my friend Mariyah but it seemed like she was never going to text me so I finally decided to take a shower.

At the last minute, plans were made that I was going to meet up with Lizzie and company at Huhot. In that same minute, Mariyah texted me asking if we were still hanging out and that she was hungry. I literally did a personal record when getting ready with clothes, makeup and all.

I had never gone to a mongolian place before, even though my dad and a bunch of other people are all about it. I've gotta say... I don't think I'm that fond of stir-fry. The restaurant was pretty cool though, nothing I've ever been to before! I guess you could say it's a buffet of sorts; you grab a plate of frozen meats, vegetables, noodles, pour the sauce on it, then get in line to have your food cooked right in front of you! I mainly had crab and chicken.

After that, neither myself or Mariyah were full and there was a Yogurt Zone within walking distance... so we drove to it (haha). 

I came home and took some windy b/w pictures. I think I'm sort of in a black and white "phase", with the exception of my WIWT photos and you know, pictures that need color.

As for nails, I was really indecisive as to what to do. I've been wanting to do a series of Valentine's nails for the whole month just because I love pink/red, but for some reason I didn't have any ideas! So this is what I ended up with:

I call them "mermaid gold" just because of the green/blue nail polish I used, along with the blue and green glitter. I put a few dabs of gold in there too, along with a gold glitter.

What I wore today 12/2/11

Today was full of way too much driving! My boyfriend was out of town last night so I wasn't able to find a comfortable way to sleep; I ended up falling asleep on the couch at 4am. I went into work at 10 and got off at 4. What did I do today?

• Took my friend Mariyah home
• Picked up my friend Roger
• Showed him our broken wii
• Picked up Henry
• Ate at Carl's Jr
• Picked up my hard drive from my friend Chelsea's house
• Went to the bookstore and Target
• Took Roger and Henry home

It really sucks that our wii is kaputz! I guess I'm lucky because Roger doesn't want his anymore so he's going to sell it to me for a pretty cheap price.

What I wore today 11/25!

I didn't really walk away with too much for Black Friday. Matt was out in line at Best Buy getting my christmas present and as soon as he got home I got ready so we could leave for the mall. Last year I worked the morning shift so before clocking in I was able to do a little bit of shopping and I found some pretty good steals... this time not so much. I bought something for my brother at the Disney store, I went to so many stores; Cotton On, Wet Seal, Macy's, Love Culture, Shasa... I like to go into stores I don't usually shop at because on rare occasions you run into something good. I ended up just going to Forever 21 and buying a couple of items.

This top was one of the items that I bought! It's a cropped black velvet bustier~ My cardigan is also from Forever 21, while my pants are from American Apparel and my shoes are from Payless.

Sweetheart cuts on tops are a real weakness for me. Depending on the fabric and/or style of the person, it can come off as innocent or take a turn and be super sexy!
