What I wore today (flashback) 1-24-14/Ebay rhinestone tights

I really don't care for cold weather too much. My wardrobe is full of skirts, dresses and 20 denier tights. We don't get much of a winter here in Texas, but when it gets cold I bundle up. When I'm cold my whole body tenses up and I'm constantly clenching my teeth and everything is just tight, haha!

I bought these rhinestone tights off of ebay for a lolita coord. I bought them in dark blue and black, one with (probably) 20 denier and then... whatever this one is. I really like the opaque ones, I can tug and pull on 'em and I haven't had a rip yet! I don't have any "good" pictures wearing the thinner tights but the second I tried on the black pair, I got a rip in them from pulling them up! The fact that these rhinestones are on them doesn't help with that either.

I successfully wore the thin dark blue pair but I had to be very very careful when putting them on and taking them off!

Lip purchases!

Ever since school started, I've had a major cut in my hours at work. Most of it was "play money" anyways, so it's not that big of a deal... I mean, I don't pay for school or have any big bills, I just pay for gas, my phone, car insurance, food... that's it. I've adopted the horrible habit of buying things on a whim just because I like them. Anyways, now I need to really watch my spending :( It's horrible, but it's a part of growing up.

I decided to treat myself to a couple of things from Ulta!

I bought EOS lip balm in Lemon Drop! No exaggeration, it smells exactly like Starburst candy! I know a lot of people rant and rave about this lip balm so I decided to give it a shot. I really love the shape of it and it does it's job! I usually only apply it 1 to 2 times a day; one midday before I go out/put lipstick on and one time before bed!

I'm forever on the search for the perfect pink lip. My lips are naturally very mauve/pink so it's difficult for me to find a lipstick that works, though that might be because I like to think I'm on a budget. I've never really had a good experience with Revlon but because I'm actually on a budget now I decided what the heck, let me give it a try. I'm partial to matte lipsticks so I was hoping for the best with this one.

Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. My experience with Revlon lipsticks/glosses is that they tend to settle in the lines of my lips and this one is no exception. Not to mention, it was very drying! I know of so many girls that can wear their products fine but I guess my lips and their formula just don't get along :(

My hunt for the perfect opaque pink lipstick continues! The last pink lipstick I used was MAC's "Nicki Minaj" pink, which reminded me a lot of Saint Germain. I always paired it with their "Vanity" lip gloss to get that "Barbie pink" lip, but again, I experienced the product settling into the lines of my lips. Maybe it's just my lips? Maybe I need to exfoliate?

I just recently bought Nicki Minaj's new lipstick with MAC for their Viva Glam campaign... I hope I like it!

Milkbbi + new shoes!

A few posts back I had mentioned buying some Milkbbi items, they finally arrived in the mail along with some shoes I bought off of ebay!

I'm so in love with the art book! Justin Wallis' art is so colorful and inspiring... He has his own "style" with influences from Japanese culture and also '90s video games. The book came with a little cactus bookmark and a thank you card! I also ordered some buttons from him, the bigger the better! I like the eyeball one the most!
I wanted to pre-order the shirt but I'm not sure if I would wear it and it would kind of set me back... here's to hoping for more!

I bought some new platform shoes off of ebay. I'm pretty addicted to ebay, I can't resist a good deal... I got these for only $20!! At first I didn't enjoy the shoe laces but they add a lil' bit of a "tokyo bopper" look to the shoes... I still want to get some new ones though.
The shoes are pretty plastic, they squeak when I walk. They didn't ship in a box to reduce the shipping price, there were a few dents in the shoes but nothing too extreme. The heel height is almost 2.5" and for some reason I find these a little bit more difficult to walk in compared to my rocking horse shoes?

On one of the shoes you can clearly see what I'm guessing was hot glue? You can also see where the shoe and platform are wanted to come undone.

I haven't worn the shoes out yet because of the fact that they squeak and I don't have laces that I like but I guess we'll see what happens!
